Silent retreat is a direct path to realizing wholeness.
A beautiful side effect of meditation is the discovery of self forgiveness. When I have the courage to sit with my disavowed parts, I eventually see through the illusion of judgment. True freedom is the realization that I never needed judgment to begin with…that I am whole…that I am deeply loved by life.
When I can forgive myself for my own humanity, I begin to see others as whole. I soften around my judgment of others and offer a transmission of unconditional love. This simple act of accepting myself has had such a powerful effect on my relationships. It’s as if I am saying, “I’m a mess but it’s ok. And it’s ok if you are too.” I can relax in the inevitability of my vulnerability.
Silent retreat is a direct path to realizing my own wholeness. It is a practice of meeting myself in my experience with open hearted curiosity…of seeing my own patterns of judgment…of holding and being held in love.
