Become aware of what is here right now.

Today, I am simply inviting you to slow down and connect with yourself. Take a moment to relax into the body and make contact with whatever is here in this moment. Stay with whatever is arising, breathing in and out, bringing your awareness to what is happening without judgement or story. What appears as you stay in awareness? What is wanting your attention? Be here as long as you need to. Relax into this beautiful re-connection of you with you.

When we do this simple practice of presence, we begin to open up to a whole new experience of life. We stop believing so intently in the commentary in the mind and start receiving what is actually true in our experience right now. After a while, we see that the mind’s chatter is a distraction from our direct experience of life. As we believe in the mind less and less, we open to a deeper truth of being.

This practice is a portal to freedom, to feeling more relaxed and alive. It is also an invitation to experience all of life. We stop being able to deny our experience, or dismiss it. We feel our pain, our joy, our grief, our insecurities intensely. We invite it all in to be experienced directly in our own open-hearted awareness. We make room for all of us to be realized and felt and honored. It’s not easy…but I find it to be infinitely more interesting, enlivening and exciting than the replaying of the conditioned stories in my mind.

Slow down, open your heart, relax your body and soften your attention. Become aware of what is here right now and receive the truth of who you are.
